During a submental liposuction consultation, Dr. Holland evaluates the patient's medical history and aesthetic goals. Typically, this procedure as a standalone is completed in our office, awake under local anesthetic. Dr. Holland ensures patients feel comfortable and safe, providing personalized care for optimal outcomes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the process, patients can expect personalized care and support. Post-surgery, patients will have follow-up appointments for monitoring and care. Recovery involves managing discomfort and swelling, with gradual improvement in the profile several weeks. The final results, including a defined jawline, becomes evident as healing progresses. Throughout, patients can expect guidance, communication, and support from our experienced medical team with the goal of achieving a positive experience and satisfying outcome.
THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE MOVING FORWARD WITH LIPOSUCTION:
Maximum discomfort will occur the first few days after the procedure and then will subside gradually.
Expect bruising- the more extensive the liposuction surgery, the more bruising one can expect. Some patients have more of a tendency to bruise than others.
Compression Wear must be worn all day and night for about 4-6 weeks after surgery.
It is generally best to plan to take five to seven days off before returning to work. If your job is physical, it is not unreasonable to take some extra time.
